Van’s Aircraft

Objective

Develop a new brand identity and website for Van’s Aircraft that reflects the exceptional quality and performance of their aircraft without looking elitist, expensive or stuck up. Deliverables include a new logo and visual identity, logos for all twelve aircraft models, website, brand collateral, and brand usage guidelines.

The new Van’s Aircraft color palette uses rich oranges, muted blacks and warm greys—all colors of the horizon at sunset that every pilot can relate to.

For years, builders had been generating their own aircraft logos for their custom-painted aircraft. To help retain a level of consistency under the Van’s Aircraft master brand identity we standardized and developed individual aircraft logos for all twelve aircraft that are now distributed to builders.

Brand guidelines were developed to detail proper usage of the logo, color, typography and visual assets. This document is distributed to designers and printers and helps ensure brand consistency across future design assets.

The new website UI/UX was completely rebuilt from the ground up. New website features include a streamlined process for ordering custom aircraft kits as well as new store infrastructure that syncs with backend warehouse systems to reflect product availability in realtime for thousands of aircraft parts and accessories.
